There is one solitary Norwegian singer among the artists I value the most. Kari Bremnes is an enigmatic and poetic singer/song writer from the northern part of Norway.

Her music has captured many a soul. Outside of Scandinavia, her albums are renowned for their exceptionally clear and beautiful sound. But according to my ears, the lady deserves recognition for far more than mere sound. Her exquisite and gentle music is what I treasure the most about her, and is the reason why I repeatedly return to one of the almost 40 albums she has worked on.

This site is meant as a small tribute to a northern lady that in a distinctive manner manages to express warmth, beauty and a low key humour through images of a frozen fjord.
